The Bay Class Minesweepers were a class of minesweepers operated by the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Forces during the Cold War. The class derives its name from bays in Canada and was designed by the RCN as a replacement for the Second World War-era minesweepers.
This coin represents the six vessels that remained in service until the late 1990’s - HMCS Fundy, HMCS Chignecto, HMCS Thunder, HMCS Cowichan, HMCS Miramichi and HMCS Chaleur.
This coin is plated with antique silver and polished gold. It is 45mm in diameter.
