Between 1928 and 1954, the RCMP St. Roch played a vital role in the Canadian Arctic. As a patrol vessel, supply ship, and floating RCMP detachment, it connected remote northern communities and upheld law enforcement in some of the harshest conditions. The St. Roch became the first ship to successfully navigate the Northwest Passage from west to east, and later the first to circumnavigate North America. This historic vessel is a symbol of Canadian resilience, maritime heritage, and the proud legacy of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
